Rugs are everywhere . . . especially with consumers turning to more hard surface flooring alternatives for living areas. Area rugs have climbed to 25-30% of the total floor coverings market.   Wouldn’t you rather clean a rug in your facility for $3.00-5.00 per s.f., than drive to a home or business and clean wall-to-wall carpet for .30 per sf.  That's $324 for a single 9’ x 12’ rug!  And that doesn't include fabric protection, urine treatment, pad sales, and repair.

ruth zebra rugThis 3-day Rug Cleaning Technician course taught by Ruth Travis, "The Rug Lady," Director of WoolSafe North America, Certified Rug Specialist and Master Rug Cleaner, covers natural and synthetic fibers, weaving, hand-knotting, and tufting; dyeing; rug types and identification; cleaning techniques ranging from minimum-moisture to total-immersion; cleaning skins: fringe cleaning, blocking and minor repairs.

iicrc techniciancourse1You'll see and learn to identify all major types of oriental and specialty rugs, with actual examples of over 100+ rugs and samples on display to photograph, touch and feel.

iicrc form image4If you want to take the IICRC RCT Certification exam, pre-requisites are Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) or Commercial Carpet maintenance Technician (CMT) and Upholstery or Fabric Cleaning Technician (UFT) Certifications.

The IICRC RCT-141 exam is offered at the end of the course.  The IICRC test fee is $65.00 per student.
